Walk Away

Sometimes you have to turn and face
The knowledge of your life
Where mistakes are rife as a common cold,
Or a rumor long been told

Future shadows, scenes yet still,
Welcome love if you have the will.
A simple test through weariness
Of the courage of your heart

Will you walk away?
Will you walk away?
Will you walk away unchanged?

Will you walk away?
Will you walk away?
Will you walk away unchanged?

A place of work, a morning drive
Surroundings we internalize:
Crocus flowers in the park
A shadowed statue turning dark

Will you walk away?
Will you walk away?
Will you walk away unchanged?

Agitation, the urge to win,
Wishing it over before you begin
A catch, a fault; the sudden abyss
You've been scared before, but not like this

Will you walk away?
Will you walk away?
Will you walk away unchanged?

Will you walk away?
Will you walk away?
Will you walk away unchanged?
